The material in the pack enables anyone aged 15 or more to build a fully functional model steam engine. The main material is brass and the finished machine demonstrates the principle of oscillation. The heating of the boiler, using solid fuel tablets, is quite safe. All critical parts (boiler, end caps, safety vent etc.) are ready finished to ensure success. The very detailed 25 page instruction booklet makes completion of this project possible in a step by step manner. Among the techniques experienced are silver soldering, folding, drilling, fitting and testing. The base size is 140x110mm height 120mm. when made up. The strict safety guidelines shown in the instructions should be adhered to for this project.©

Unique live steam stationary engine

Kit to build up easy to make.

No soldering or bending to be done, just bolt together model is ready to run.

This is a live steam stationary engine kit to build up very easy to make, all parts are silver soldered as boiler and safety valve are made up. All parts are fully machined and ready to bolt together, made of stainless steel, brass and copper components. Size of model when made up is with the base 7” (175mm) x 7” (175mm) 5”(125mm) high, boiler 4 1/2” (115mm) long diameter 1 1/2” (35mm) piston 2 1/2’ (65mm) long with the solid fuel tray 2 1/2”(65mm) x 1 1/4” (30mm)

Full operating instructions plus drawings,filler funnel to fill boiler and solid fuel are all included.

When completed this is a fully operational live steam model wagon engine Mamod in kit form No.SW1all parts supplied ready to fix together, very easy just nuts and bolts, the rest is done for you, packed in the original display box. When made up it is has reversible brass cylinder, with flywheel, spring loaded safety valve, steam whistle. Smoke stack, traditional steering . Operating time about 15/20 minutes with the use of 2 solid fuel tablets, box of 20 tablets supplied plus steam oil.
